This guy J. Paul Williamson told Joe  in a phone conversation to write down the settlement proposal they discussed and he would submit it to his client. It’s clear from this letter that he had no intention of entertaining any kind of settlement that didn’t put $75,000 in his pocket. It is also obvious that The Daily Variety has never experienced any harm from the Vandals artwork because they are not interested in getting the images off the Internet at all, they are only interested in getting money from the Vandals.

Here they ask us to have our financial status evaluated by hired professionals. Then they will take that information into consideration “if” they decide to entertain a compromise offer of cash. What a joke.  That would involve us spending a bunch of money and still be in the same position, at the mercy of the Daily Variety.  They think we’re idiots.
