The phone conversation went like this: “Mr. Williamson, what dollar damages that Variety suffers every time someone sees the “offending” image on the Internet?”

“I don’t have to tell you that.”

“Well I assume it’s substantial, like at least $100.00 or you wouldn’t be suing us all the time, but now that you have sued us again, those images are all over the Internet, there are thousands. Why don’t we help you take down the thousands? That would be worth a lot, right?  I mean if these images really cause your client harm, like you say they do. If we helped you take down a thousand images that we weren’t responsible for, that would be worth a hundred thousand dollars, or more, right?” He told Joe to “write it up” and he would submit it to his client.
